Thursday Update

It seems we just arrived...and tomorrow is our last day at the orphanage.  We just got home from a bus ride to the store, where we all bought some necessary items for our classes. For example: toilet paper (most of the kids use pages from notebooks they've already written on!), toothpaste/brushes, shampoo, soap, pens, and socks. It feels like Christmas and we are Santa Claus. Except these gifts are better: they are blessings from God!

Most of us are pretty run down, and running on drugs (the legal kind).  Some have lost their voices, many are sniffling, but we are all still smiling!!

Tomorrow will be tough.  Saying goodbye to the kids is so heart wrenching.  It has been the most amazing experience for all of us, and we have grown close to the teachers, kids, translators, helpers, and brethren here in Mariupol.  It truly is amazing how believers have family all over the world.

We think of our American family all the time and are so thankful you have lifted us up in prayer!

Photos coming soon...

  1. Hey Ladies,

We know the feelings you are going through right now. We're sure that it has been a wonderful and profitable week. We have been with you in spirit and in prayer. God bless as you enjoy the last weekend with the the Christians there. We will continue to remember you to our Lord until we see your face. Love, Lonnie & Cindy
